Learning Commons: Faculty

Information about services and resources

Welcome Faculty!

Services

Circulation
The Learning Commons collection includes printed books, anatomical models, electronic books, journals, and more.   Your faculty ID also becomes a library card. Stop by the circulation desk, and a staff member can attach a barcode to the back of your ID. You can then borrow the many items available for either classroom instruction or research.

Interlibrary Loan
Speaking of research, do you need an article from a journal not in our collection? The library director can request materials from other institutions using the National Library of Medicine's document routing system – Docline. Please stop by the Director's office or email them at jcox@lifewest.edu.

Reserve Collection
This printed book collection is located behind the circulation desk, and the titles are the required textbooks listed on the course syllabus. These textbooks are primarily for the students. Contact the publisher for a desk copy if you need the title for class instruction. Many publishers provide the instructor with a free copy when used as a course text.

Off-Campus
Our electronic resources are available through an authentication system, Ezproxy. Please see the library director to set up an account and for training.
