Learning Commons: Visitors

Visitors pursuing research in health science and business are welcome to read books and journals, watch videos, and use computers located near the reference desk. 

Two week books and journals are in open shelving for self-service.  You can browse and use them on site. Reserve books and audiovisuals are available at the circulation desk.  Library staff will hold a government issued picture ID while you use these materials in the library.

Collections of interest include:

• Research databases such as PubMed@Life West, configured to show which articles are available on site
• Journal articles found in online subscriptions, or in classic print journals
• Trade magazines and consumer magazines on chiropractic, healthy lifestyle, science news, and recreation
• Books on chiropractic, practice management, human biology, health, physical and general medicine, osteopathy, and alternative therapies
• Audiovisuals on human biology, chiropractic philosophy and technique, and personal development

Research assistance and customized training are available.  

You can always drop in, but making an appointment ensures that a librarian will be available and aware of  your goals.
