Borrowing 

The privilege to borrow/access materials is based on the user’s current affiliation with Life Chiropractic College West and their borrowing history – overdue, damaged, or lost items.

Overdue items for all current students and employees will not be subjected to late fines. However, if the item is not returned within an reasonable period the item's status becomes lost. You will be charged for lost item(s). 

An item is considered lost based on its loan period.  For example, an item checked out overnight (due the next day) is considered lost if not returned with 24 hours of it due date.

The following chart indicates when an item's status changes from overdue to lost. 

• Overnight check out - 24 hours from the original due date

• One week check out - 5 days from the original due date

• Two week check out - 7 days from the original due date

• 2 hour check out - 24 hours from the original due date

In the event neither the Learning Commons or the borrower are unable to find the item, the borrower will be charged: 

• Replacement fee: TBD by item(s)

• Shipping costs: TBD by item(s)

• Item processing fee: $25 per item

• Out of print item replacement fee (if applicable): $150.00 per item
